We absolutely loved the trip and its probably one of the best holidays we have ever had.
From an organisational point of view, this was the ultimate in easy travel. Everything was as we had asked, everyone knew exactly what we were supposed to be doing and when so the arrangements, transport, activities and support were seamless. Christina was particularly fantastic in and around Levi and the glass igloo.
Harriniva was such fun and we particularly enjoyed the husky dogs - especially as I didn't bother to drive at all and Andrew was very much in charge - and the snowmobiling where the two guides' enthusiasm was thoroughly infectious. The cross-country skiing was also an unexpected treat and we went a couple of times. The setting was beautiful especially when seen from the heat / comfort of a jacuzzi. The staff in the lodge were fine, but the lady in the equipment centre was really great for insider tips, patience and telling us where to go to find the northern lights. We saw them from Harraniva on two nights.
However most praise has to be reserved for the glass igloo - what a treat!! It over delivered on expectations. The setting was fantastic, the igloo very luxurious and the food basket, breakfast and casserole were all really really lovely. It was equipped with everything you could possibly want. We had such a special evening and breakfast and would highly recommend having dinner in the igloo rather than going into town if you're there for just one night. We also had the most amazing 3 hr Northern Lights show and we were very lucky as it seemed to be directly over our heads. We would have struggled to appreciate it if hadn't been for the igloo as we could not have endured being outside long enough (-40 degrees that night!) to see the whole spectacle. The scene the next morning, with dawn breaking was equally fab.
I cannot recommend the igloo, activities, breathtaking scenery or seamless arrangements highly enough. Neither can I remmond you highly enough for all the advice you gave me, your patience in putting it all together and for tailoring it to our exact requirements, right down to the delicious salmon casserole and cava in the igloo!
