jeris design your own 7 nights
Stephen Howard - 06/04/2011
It is so difficult to find the words to express the fantastic experience of visiting Jeris, but I will attempt to do so but but firstly like to thank yourself and the team at Winter Weddings. As you already know we had been let down by another company, but we are both so glad as finding yourselves proved that sometimes things happen for the best.
Anyway the Jeris resort was fantastic and the Winter Cottage was well worth the upgrade, lovely and cosy the Sauna was a must after along day doing one of the many activities. The staff at the Hotel where fantastic and really couldn't do enough for us, the food was great and very intersting and i would advise anyone who visits Finland to try some of the local dishes. It was -27 the first night but in saying that its a different type of cold from here in the Uk, but all the equipment provided did the job whilst out on our activities.
The flights and Airport transfers where all on time, and Kittila Airport although small seemed very well organised and all the staff spoke English. But on that point i would ask anyone who visits Finland to take the time to learn a few words of Finnish, the local people really do appreciate you making the effort. All the advice and information given to us about cost of public Transport & Taxis was spot on, and the Information centres at Mounio & Levi where also extremly good.
The activities we booked where well organised and good value for money, a must is the Northern Lights snowmobile Safari we where lucky to glimse the Northern Lights that evening. Husky safari was out of this world you really do need to experience the thrill of being on a sledge, in the most beautiful scenery imaginable controlling your team of Husky dogs is something you will never forget. We enjoyed the Snowmobile Safari so much we did it again our last day, a 50km daytime safari with our own guide amazing be careful with the deep snow.
I hope i've summed up enough for you to get the impression we loved every second of our Honeymoon, so much so we plan to take our little boy who is 4yrs old to Finland this Christmas. And since our return we have decided that within the next 2 yrs we plan to emigrate to Finland, I think that shows anyone reading this you have to see and experience Finland to understand the impact it has had on us.
Finally Steph this was all a little rushed I apologise for any poor grammer & spelling :) but thank you once again your all STARS.
Yours
Steve & Emily.
