Paperwork

There are a number of documents to send and procedures which you will need to follow in order to get married in either Finland, Sweden or Norway.

There are two parts to the process. Firstly the paperwork that needs to be done in the UK which is then sent abroad for the second part of the process to be completed.

The cost of the paperwork in the country you have chosen to marry is included in the price of the wedding ceremony but does not include what is required in the UK.

The requirements in both countries vary and are subject to change which is why it is important that you receive up to date information from each country and make the preliminary requests early so you have plenty of time to complete all the forms and processes.

We advise you to allow 3 months in total to complete the paperwork in both countries but this is merely a guide.
Once you have decided on your wedding plans and made your booking, you will need to contact your local registry office and advise them of your intentions. Then they will explain what is required in the UK.

We will supply more information about the whole process once the booking is made.

Planning

We can help you plan every last detail of your winter wedding; from the accommodation, venue for the ceremony and celebratory meal, right through to the make up and flowers.

Once you have made your booking for the accommodation and ceremony, there will be time to decide on the meal, flowers, transportation and other details which will make your day unique and special.

The small finishing touches can make all the difference to your wedding and we can make sure this is all in place before you travel. Then, once you arrive at your destination, you will meet the wedding planner (subject to availability) and go over all the final details for your big day.
